Ndbag was up in the attic. He liked the attic of Mylene’s old house a lot. It was large and had lots of nooks and crannies, as well as dust and rafters. He was crawling along one of the rafters stealthily. Careful, ever so careful, he snuck up to one of the cross-beams. When he was close enough to touch it, he reached up, inching his fingers along, until he could touch the edge of the beam with his fingertips.
In one quick motion he pulled himself up and said “Boooh!”
The spider in the web in front of him squealed and jumped out of the web to disappear into the shadows.
Ndbag giggled. He loved playing with spiders. They were so much fun.
As he stood there, still grinning to himself, the spider scuttled out of hiding and glared at him.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He paused and considered “Well, not that much anyway. Just a little bit, maybe…” He trailed off.
The spider continued to glare at him. The little boogeyman held out his hand. “Here, let me help you back up.”
